About Cipromac D Eye Drop

CIPROFLOXACIN+DEXAMETHASONE is a combination of Ciprofloxacin (antibiotic) and Dexamethasone (corticosteroid). It treats bacterial ear infections, including middle ear infections in children with ear tubes, and outer ear infections (swimmer's ear) in children and adults. A bacterial infection is a condition in which bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can target any body part and multiple very quickly.

CIPROFLOXACIN+DEXAMETHASONE treats and prevents a wide range of bacterial infections, including gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. Ciprofloxacin is bactericidal and works by killing bacteria that cause infections. It prevents the division of bacterial cells. It also inhibits the repair of bacterial cells. Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid that reduces swelling and redness by preventing infection-fighting white blood cells (WBCs) from traveling to the area of swelling in your body.

CIPROFLOXACIN+DEXAMETHASONE is for use in the ear (otic) use only and not for eye (ophthalmic) use. CIPROFLOXACIN+DEXAMETHASONE should be adequately shaken before use and take in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. And also, do not touch the nozzle to avoid any infection. Most of these side effects of CIPROFLOXACIN+DEXAMETHASONE do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor. If you experience any allergic reaction symptoms such as rashes, itching, swelling, shortness of breath, etc., you should contact the doctor immediately.

It is not advisable to stop this medicine suddenly to avoid unpleasant side effects. Inform your doctor if you have any lung disease, muscle weakness (myasthenia gravis), sleeping disorder or difficulty sleeping (sleep apnoea), severe liver disease, or problem with alcohol or other prescription recreational drugs. Inform your doctor before taking CIPROFLOXACIN+DEXAMETHASONE if you plan to get pregnant, are pregnant, or breastfeeding.
